BECOMING TRANSPARENT DRAWING
Like I’ve said before, I’m bad at social media.
So when Transparent Drawing is tagged on Facebook; actually, when Gail White, who is a poet, writes a short poem titled Becoming Transparent Drawing, I am amazed. In the sort of way that a 60 year old is confused and amazed by social media.
Here is a link to Ms. White’s post on Facebook.
So after reading the poem a couple of times, will the act of drawing transparently make us more transparent? There is a societal implication here. To draw transparently, to become the water bead on a leaf of grass, to contribute to our understanding of the universe via transparency, to become more transparent, is wonderful to think about. Transparency is not a state, it is an act. It is active.
