FAST FORM GENERATION
Select two transparent drawings as your Source Image. Draw one over the other. Presto. You have a previously unimaginable form generated on your paper. You achieved fast form generation.
This was the first time that I used two drawings in a Form Combine. Previously, I was combining two or three photographs as Source Image. While this seems obvious in hindsight, somehow this had never occurred to me. And the revelation is that this is so quick and easy.
Because you are starting with two resolved forms, you don’t have to take time to resolve first one form and then another. All you have to do is draw one resolved form over the other. In 15 minutes, you can have the framework established. From there, you can go any direction you want. I used an ochre pastel pencil to work to unify and amplify the form coincidence. The grey – blue tones were generated from water soluble pencil lines. An ochre wash works to unify the form processing.
Possibly this came together so easily for me because a Picasso painting was used for each source image. The title of the painting is in the caption. So if you are curious, you can drill down another layer for the origination. It is also worth commenting that my two drawings were done 4 years ago, which only proves that every transparent drawing you do can and will be useful to you in the future.
