TRAVEL BUILDING 1
During a day trip to Sintra which is about an hour by train outside of Lisbon, we were walking hurriedly to catch the train. I was taken by this building. Yet there was no time to stop and take more than one photo of it. So that’s the photo below.
Everything about this building is fantastic, at least from the one side that I saw it from. The way it gently curves with the roadway. The simple shed roof. I wonder what it would be like to enter it thru those doors on the right. And then how about the fantastic white lines in the foreground, which I assume indicates no parking?
I made my drawing from the photo about 6 weeks later. It is rather faithful to the projection of the photo. Because I never saw the back side of the building, I made a guess as to how it resolved itself.
Always snap the picture of whatever captures your imagination. Because you know you will want to draw it later.
